Our mission at RUYI Acupuncture Integrative Medicine Clinic is to provide our patients with an integrated and holistic approach to healing. We do not only fix problems. Rather, we enrich our patients’ lives by teaching them how to self-heal and by helping them unlock their healing potential.

 

Ruyi (如意) is a curved decorative object that serves as a ceremonial scepter in Chinese Buddhism or a talisman symbolizing power and good fortune in Chinese folklore. Ruyi means "According to one's wishes" and "Happiness" as well.

 

Louie Lu DAIM, L.Ac., MSAOM, Dipl. O.M. is a licensed acupuncturist in the state of California and holds the esteemed title of Diplomate in Oriental Medicine conferred by the NCCAOM. In 2019, he established RUYI Acupuncture Integrative Medicine Clinic, driven by a mission to bridge the gap in modern oriental medicine practices. With his journey in healing and Acupuncture commencing in 2014, Dr. Lu has consistently devoted his time and effort to deliver exemplary care, unwavering patience, and a distinctive acupuncture experience to each of his patients.

Dr. Lu's pursuit of academic excellence led him to obtain a Doctoral degree in Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine in 2021 and a Master of Science degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in 2018 from the prestigious Alhambra Medical University. He has also been honored with the position of a faculty member at Alhambra Medical University, where he imparts his expertise in Clinical Management to aspiring practitioners in the acupuncture and oriental medicine program. Furthermore, Louie Lu is an esteemed council member of the esteemed World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies, solidifying his commitment to advancing the field of acupuncture and promoting its benefits on a global scale.
